In Poland during Russian occupation a primary school girl was told by her school to write an essay. The title was "Why do I love the Soviet Union?"
Uncertain about the answer the girl asked her parents, "Mom, Dad ... why do I love the Comunist Party?"
The adults eyes widened in disbelief.
"Are you crazy?" cried her mother.
"Who could ever love those thieves, those criminals? Everybody hates them!"
The father sat up hastily from the chair fuming like a stove and growled, "What is this rubbish? They are murderers and liars, they are the oppressors occupying our land, the whole Poland hate those communists asswipes."
Distressed, the girl tried asking to several other adults but the answer didn’t change much.
But she couldn’t go back school empty handed so at the end she wrote:
"I love the Soviet Union because no one else does."
